Getting started
Getting started with Localizethat
You can localize something real in a couple of minutes. Company context makes the result better, but nothing has to be set up first.
The workflow
Every project follows the same six steps.
- 01ADD CONTENT
Paste your text or import a document from Google Drive.
- 02CHOOSE LANGUAGES
Pick one or more target languages. Search or use frequently used.
- 03LOCALIZE
Localizethat applies your company context and localizes every language.
- 04REVIEW
Go through the segments yourself, or assign a reviewer per language.
- 05APPROVE
Approve each language when the wording is right.
- 06EXPORT
Finalize, then download the files or save them to a Google Drive folder you choose.
1. Add content
Open Localize and paste your text, or import a Google Doc, .txt or .md file from Google Drive. Localizethat counts the words, detects the source language and suggests a project name.

2. Choose languages and localize
Search for the languages you need and add as many as you want before continuing. Before you start, Localizethat shows the word count, the languages and the estimated credits.
Relevant company context — brand voice, terminology, approved claims, market rules and approved translations — is applied automatically.
3. Review and approve
Each language is reviewed on its own. Work through the segments yourself, or assign a reviewer with a deadline. Reviewers can comment, suggest edits and approve — external reviewers do not need an account.

4. Finalize and export
When a language is approved, finalize it to lock an approved version, then export the files or save them to a Google Drive folder you choose. Approved translations can also be saved to Translation Memory so the next project reuses them.

What it costs
1 credit = €1 = 1,000 source words localized into one language. Every new workspace starts with 10 free credits, and text reused from your approved Translation Memory costs 20% of the normal rate.
